Theatre Out There
THEATRE OUT THERE is a site-specific drama project which takes place over a five week period from 19th July 21st August 2010. The project is divided into three modules, with each one culminating in a series of performances in a unique location.
Site-specific is theatre which takes place in unusual locations, and which tells a story inspired by that location. It will be a very different audience experience audiences may go on a journey as part of the performance, or be part of a very small audience at a short piece which is repeated several times.
Theatre in Cars
Young people create a series of small-scale pieces which will be staged in stationary cars.
Theatre in the Dark
Young people create a performance piece which takes place in a darkened space, using heightened sensory awareness to create a unique theatrical experience.
Theatre Outdoors
Young people create an outdoor show, involving elements of promenade performance. These performances will be a series of extracts, some of which may be devised, and some of which will be based on existing texts.
