Zoë Seaton
Artistic Director
Founder member and Artistic Director of Big Telly Theatre Company, Zoë trained at Kent University, Canterbury before returning to her native town of Portstewart in 1987 to start the company.
Zoë has over seventeen years professional experience as a director, writer and facilitator. She has directed numerous productions for Big Telly including The Colleen Bawn, The Playboy of the Western World, McCOOL XXL, Metamorphosis, Blood, Sweat and Tears, and My Mother Said I Never Should. She has also written and directed several plays for the company including The Thief and Fish (co-written with Paul McEneaney), Onions, To Hell With Faust, Crumbs, and Cuchulainn.
Zoë's freelance directing work includes:
For Hull Truck Theatre Company: September In The Rain; Bouncers; April in Paris and Blood, Sweat And Tears, all by John Godber. She also assisted Godber on the world premieres of April In Paris, Lucky Sods and It Started With A Kiss.
For Creation Theatre Company, Oxford, her work includes Macbeth, Hamlet, Antony and Cleopatra, A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Tempest.
For the Lyric Theatre, Belfast: Shadowlands, Red Riding Hood.
For Cahoots NI: Buster (NI Tour, Edinburgh International Children's Festival), The Blizzard Wizard (Lyric Theatre, Belfast), A Fairy’s Tale (NI Tour), Star Catcher (Lyric Theatre, Belfast) and The Magic Hat (NI Tour/South Korea International Children’s Festival).
Other directing credits include Convictions by Tinderbox Theatre Company; Red and Hansel and Grettel for An Grianán, Letterkenny; Romeo And Juliet and Up 'N' Under for Norwich Playhouse, and Lucky Sods for Ellie Jay Entertainment (Middle East tour). All My Sons, Teechers, Bouncers and Nunsense for Belfast Arts Theatre, Dancing At Lughnasa for Capitol Theatre, Manchester; and Our Country's Good, My Foot My Tutor, Not I, Rockaby, The Factory Girls and a musical adaptation of Salt Of The Earth for Aspects Theatre Company, Manchester.
Zoë has considerable experience in the creation of training projects exclusively designed for corporate clients. These range from promotional events to arts-based training programmes and the use of actors within the recruitment process. Zoë often works with management consultants to deliver training and development programmes that use theatrical techniques. Previous clients include Bass Ireland, Irwin, Donaghey & Co Accountants, Coleraine Town Partnership, MaCaulay Wray Solicitors, Zing Design and Print.
Louise Rossington
General Manager
Louise has over fourteen years of professional experience in business management and administration, and has successfully managed the company's productions and tours since 2001. She has a BSc and a Certificate in Business Management Practice, which was awarded by the University of Ulster, run jointly by Arts & Business and Venture International, and funded by Invest Northern Ireland.
Linda McCracken
Development Manager
Linda has over five years experience in business administration and customer care. Prior to her current position with Big Telly, she has worked with both national companies and local businesses. She has a BA in Business Studies which was awarded by Napier University, Edinburgh.
