McCOOL XXL - THE ORIGINAL ROCK LEGEND

Big Telly Theatre Company and the Lyric Theatre, Belfast have produced this new rock musical using the maze of myths about North Coast hero Finn McCool to create a fascinating human-interest story about an ordinary guy who became an extra-ordinary legend. Life began as an abandoned babe but an amazing talent for sports combined with the gift of poetry and the hand of fate sent his reputation so far into orbit that he is remembered as an actual giant... The piece also takes a sharp look at our contemporary preoccupation with fame and the effect of celebrity on mere mortals. Featuring video, illusion and stunning special effects this unique theatre-gig has the attitude of a rock concert with a cast, which includes Brenda Brooks, Kevin Hynes, Mary McNally, John Ryan and THE BELFAST GIANTS!!!!
